Accentuating the already beautiful you

What is Dysport?

Botulinum Toxin Type A injectable treatments are the tried and true method for softening frown lines, forehead lines and lines around the eyes. They have been used in the cosmetic industry both in New Zealand and overseas for at least 20 years.  You may be more familiar with the term Botox, which is a similar treatment based on the same ingredients and principles. Skin Co uses Dysport as our preferred product.  Feel free to ask us why! Injected by a Registered Nurse, it is a naturally occurring protein extract.  Feel free to book in for our complimentary consultation to see if this product is right for you.

How does Dysport work?

This treatment works by blocking the transmission of information from the nerve to the muscle and prevents contraction of the muscle under the skin. It is this constant contraction over time that leads to lines and wrinkles in the face. By blocking the muscle contraction with Dysport, the lines and wrinkles will soften leaving your skin smoother.

What does Dysport treat?

Not only does Dysport relax frowns, making the skin around the area smooth and less wrinkled, it can also be used to treat excessive sweating. If this sounds like something you or someone you know might benefit from don't hesitate to get in touch today.

Results

Results can last up to six months, after which time, the muscle gradually regains its strength. Regular treatments are recommended to maintain the desired effect.

Can anyone administer Dysport?

Every aspect of your treatment will be discussed with you at the initial consultation.  For more information including potential side effects of Dysport please refer to the Consumer Medicine Information available at www.medsafe.govt.nz
